Cavity Wall/Loft Insulation:

Quake completes over 5,000 insulation jobs per year in the Southeast working in partnership with Local Authorities, Utilities, and Grant Management Agencies but also directly with private homeowners to promote the benefits to consumers of home insulation and to support the government’s commitment to carbon reduction.

The Quake Commitment:

• All insulation fitters are trained by the manufacturers of the materials to ensure that installation procedures are done to agreed specifications
• All installations are done in accordance with the specifications of the British Board of Agrement (BBA) which carries out random inspections of completed jobs to ensure total conformity
• All insulation jobs are fully guaranteed by CIGA for 25 years
• Quake employs field based quality inspectors to further ensure we maintain a consistently high level of quality

  Cavity Wall Insulation:

• Quake uses only high quality mineral fibre rock wool supplied by internationally recognised suppliers like Knauf
• Installation jobs typically take about half a day to complete with a minimal amount of disturbance to the occupants of the house
• Process involves the drilling of small holes in the outside walls according to carefully defined patterns, filling the holes with mineral fibre, and then making good the job by filling, and painting the drill holes.

Loft Insulation:

• Government recommendations call for loft spaces to be insulated up to a depth of 250mm in order to optimise the energy saving benefits of this material
• Many homes already have some loft insulation but not always to the recommended depth which means that many lofts will need top-ups to achieve these targets
• Quake only uses high quality glass fibre quilt installed by our in-house qualified technicians in a process that is quick and trouble free for the homeowner.

Wall Ties:

• Over time, wall ties which provide additional structural security to cavity walls can degrade, which in turn can either make it impossible to insulate a home or at worse can threaten the structural integrity of the house itself
• Quake provides a complete wall tie service including undertaking technical surveys of your wall ties, providing you with a technical report with recommendations, and if warranted the renewing and/or replacement of your existing wall ties.
